The LSC-70 series real-time video camera is for applications requiring IR sensitivity up to 2200nm. Designed with precise automatic or manual operation, the frontal panel controls offer extended gain and black level offset ranges to allow maximum contrast for low contrast imaging.

적외선용 카메라는 일반적인 광학현미경으로 관찰하기 힘든 opaque한 광물의 내부 구조를 관찰하는데 쓰인다. 특히 열수광상에서 형성되는 황화광물 산화공물들은 대부분 가시광산 내에서 불투명 광물이기 때문에 내부를 볼 수 없으나, 적외선 range의 빛에서는 이들의 내부 구조를 관찰할 수 있기 때문에 이들에 포함된 유체포유물 연구를 동시에 수행할 수 있게 된다.
