The Deformation Analysis System is a portable camera-based measurement system consisted Deformation measurement system and Image analysis software. It measures automatically the 3D surface geometry and 3D strain distribution on a dynamical deformed part and static deformed part. Typically, a square, circle or is applied to a metal or plastic blank prior to forming. The deformation measurement system records an object under load using a digital cameras. After forming, the part is photographed along with a special calibration target, and the deformed grid is measured to determine the surface strain. And a stochastic pattern have to be measured and evaluated as a 3D surface strain. This system is unique because it requires only lightweight and readily portable equipment to make surface strain and geometry measurement: a digital camera, trigger, computer. The Deformation Analysis System can measure virtually any sized part, from small pieces a few millimeters across to full sized body panels. The Deformation Analysis system can measure on all loading stages as 2D and 3D.
