○ The system has a solar simulator as a light source, which can control the intensity and the wavelength of the light according to the information from a light intensity detecter. ○ The wavelength of the light can be controlled by some filters, such as IR/UV filter, and monochromater, and the light can be turn on and intercepted within several mili-second. ○ The sample chamber of the system, which shield an external light, is connected electrically with a light intensity measurement and data processing parts. ○ The 66984 Xe & Hg(Xe) Research Source runs selected 200 to 500 W Xe and Hg(Xe) lamps. Xenon lamps emit a reasonably smooth continuum through the UV-VIS and some high intensity lines in the NIR. This sources consist of a lamp housing with a F/1 two element fused silica condenser and a built-in ignitor, a 69911Arc Lamp Power Supply. The output is a 1.3 inch (33 mm) collimated beam via a 1.5 Inch Series Flange. The aluminum housings holds the ignitor, lamp, and collecting and collimating optics.
